We take a look at ‘Coast’ by Aero Build, an RV with ‘ewe-nique’ insulation made entirely from sheep wool!
When it comes to winter gear, there’s no debate that those sporting clothes made of merino wool are the warmest. The woolly coats that keep the ewes warm do the same for humans, and now… RVs. ‘Coast’, an RV crafted by Aero Build in Nashville, Tennessee, is insulated entirely by sheep wool. Pretty ewe-nique if you ask me (please laugh at that!).
In fact, they’re calling Coast by Aero Build one of America’s most advanced, fully electric, luxury RVs for the modern traveller. Even if it doesn’t one day arrive in the land down under, we had to take a closer geez at this baby and ponder the benefits it’d have here.
Talk to me about Coast by Aero Build
Camping during winter has got to be one of my favourite things to do. There’s a chill outside, requiring a campfire and ample amounts of hot chocolate to warm the body and the soul. You can cozy up with your partner (or camping mate if you so choose), spin yarns and enjoy warm foods cooked over the campfire or in your highly capable RV’s kitchen. Everything about the experience is enjoyable and wholesome, filling your hippocampus with rock-solid memories. The only necessity is that you must have a means to stay warm.
What sets Aero Build’s Coast apart in the highly saturated RV market is the fact that it provides just that. Its unique interior insulation is made entirely from sheep wool, allowing it to stay warm when the weather outside isn’t beach-friendly. Alternatively, the wool would also keep things refreshingly cool in those unforgiving Aussie summer conditions.
Sustainable
Powered by renewable energy via 1360 watts of solar panels that adorn its roof, Coast by Aero Build definitely embraces sustainability. Not to mention, its water-saving shower head reduces water consumption by an impressive 50%. So you won’t be unknowingly pumping through the litres. The toilet has been amped with a dry-flush function that works to tackle any issues regarding sewage or blackwater.
Comfort is key
If we wanted to rough it, we’d throw a swag out onto the ground and be done with it. Those of us that head away in a caravan enjoy the luxuries that come with it. Running water, electricity, a comfy mattress and a working fridge, to name a few. According to Aero Build, Coast “provides a safe and comfortable home all year round, no matter where the road takes you”. And in designing Coast, Aero Build has perfected just that.
The sitting area inside effortlessly transforms into a comfy and intimate dining room where you can enjoy breaky and dinner alike. It has a wooden table and plush cushioned benches, so it invites you to enjoy every bite. You’ll find the sink next to the fridge, which helps maximise the available space within the RV.
Adjacent to the dining area, you’ll find a fully-equipped kitchen. Bacon and eggs are a must in the morning, made possible by an electric stovetop. To one-up themselves when it comes to the unique factor, Aero Build has installed all Smeg appliances in Coast.
When it comes to bedtime, you’ll have ample privacy provided by a cabinet and a curtain. Jumping up out of your warm bed for a wee through the night is never pleasant. But with the bathroom being thoughtfully positioned near the bedroom, things are just a little more convenient, which is exactly how you’d like your RV to be.
I guess you could say luxury and nature intertwine in Coast by Aero Build. It’s capable, sustainable, environmentally friendly, and provides a comfortable place to rest your head at night. If you’ve got a case of wanderlust, we reckon this ‘ewe-niquely’ insulated RV is one of your best bets when it comes to luxury. If you’re located in the red, white and blue, we’re a bit jealous as Aero Build are now accepting pre-orders for Coast with delivery expected later in the year.
