Jayco will soon be unveiling the new JPod X and you can win one for yourself. Here's what we know about it so far.

Jayco will soon unveil the new JPod X and although in terms of specs, they aren’t letting the cat out of the bag ahead of its public launch at the Let’s Go QLD Caravan & Camping Supershow in Brisbane, there seem to be some major design changes that set it apart from the previous JPod models.
The most obvious is the change to the back end. The ability to access the bed from the back of the pod has been removed, paving the way for some great new features, such as a rear kitchen and pantry.
The kitchen slide remains on the side but it’s now located towards the back of the pod near the new pantry area, which also houses a 45L portable fridge. All of this is under the cover of a 270o batwing awning. The previous models require you to strap your fridge to the floor at the foot of the bed so having a separate sleeping area and kitchen pantry is a big plus.
The access door is now to the side of the bed instead of at the end of the bed. This just feels more natural getting in and out and was my major pet peeve in the previous JPod. The JPod X also boasts a 9 kg gas bottle, a DO-35 offroad pin coupling and the ability to carry a caravan or bike on the sturdy roof racks.
I’m waiting with fingers crossed to find out if these sturdy roof racks will indeed support a roof top tent (RTT) like the 2022 JPod Outback. This would make it incredibly appealing for those like myself adventuring with kids, allowing parents some privacy and keeping the kids high and safe in the RTT.
