REDARC have just announced their new Alpha150, a 150Ah lithium battery which, according to REDARC, offers up to 70% more capacity for its size and 30% more capacity per kilogram when compared to equivalent lithium batteries. To be specific, the REDARC Alpha150 lithium packs 150Ah of power into a 15.5-kilogram package that can deliver 2560 watts continuously.
Boasting a lifespan of over 5000 charge cycles, you can expect it to last ten times that of an equivalent deep-cycle AGM battery. When comparing it to lithium, it will last twice that of most others. REDARC says the new Alpha150 lithium battery is made in the Netherlands and includes an IP56 rating and built-in heater functionality, allowing it to be charged in the harshest of conditions.
As expected from REDARC, it has built-in Bluetooth connectivity. This means you can get useful, real-time battery-level information on the companion app.
Available in both 12V and 24V across 1200W, 2000W and 3000W capacities, the new REDARC RS3 pure sine wave inverters boast a range of new features for both end users and installers. Built-in Automatic Transfer Switching (ATS) is standard and ensures a seamless transition between battery and mains power.
According to REDARC, the new inverters have improved surge capacity (200% higher and for twice as long), so a smaller inverter can power your more demanding appliances. This is good news for those short on space, as it means you can downsize your inverter and still meet your power demands. The REDARC RS3 inverters are also 75% quieter than comparison models.
