Is there a word for the jealousy one feels when you scroll through Instagram and come across all the incredible RV renovations? I often search #rvrenovations (or a similar hashtag), just to browse the amazing creations that everyday people like you and I craft. Now, I can’t paint to save my life, nor am I any good at building, but what I can do is write. So I’ve decided to compile 15 of the most beautiful RV renovations I could find on Instagram.
Check them out here and let us know which one is your favourite!
#1. The farmhouse
@thetravelingcouches implemented a farmhouse shiplap wall in their RV renovations to create a rustic farmhouse feeling that emulated their actual home. It makes total sense that you’d want your home on wheels to feature elements of your original home. In the post, they wrote, “This wall really brings life into our space and makes us feel cozy and happy.”
#2. Before and after
This before and after shot of @rice_camp’s RV renovation shows the power of brightening up the space. Whites, neutrals and pastels can completely transform the interior of RVs. I’m a huge fan.
#3. Comfort is key
You can’t look at @nejameson’s RV renovations and not immediately feel cozier. The brown hues combined with the fire and the white countertops create some serious winter cabin vibes. This gorgeous space is a 2015 Heartland Trailrunner 29SLE that is actually up for sale.
#4. Renovation in action
I absolutely love seeing before and after shots or renovations, especially when it comes to RVs. This bite-sized video clip from @driftless_rv_renovators shows a 2010 Forest River Toy Hauler named Willie before its renovation and after. I can’t believe how quickly the place was modernised. This is truly an art.
#5. Warm colours make a home
I am in love with the colours that create such warmth and comfort that have been featured inside this build by #vanlife travellers @ourwaytoroam. Scroll all the way to the end of the carousel to see what the van looked like before they got to work renovating it.
#6. You’d never believe it wasn’t a house
You would absolutely be forgiven for assuming this gorgeous space created by @wayland_ventures was a house. After all, the epoxy resin-coated counter and spaced-out kitchen look just like the type of luxurious kitchen you’d find in a display home.
#7. So much texture
The whites, blacks and browns featured in this RV renovation space (also by @wayland_ventures) are perfectly aligned with the textured blankets and pillows decorating this comfy-looking space. Afternoon nap, anyone?
#8. Rustic chalet bathroom
Say goodbye to the plain white shower and check out this gorgeous rustic chalet bathroom transformation by @wisco_flip‘s RV renovations. The flooring is peel and stick, the stone sink was purchased from Amazon and the counters came from IKEA.
#9. Vintage vibes
The aesthetic of this RV renovation from ©bujaandmae screams nostalgia as the vintage feel takes us all back to happy summer days spent travelling. The mint, marble and brass make for an incredible upgrade. See for yourself by swiping right to the end to see the ‘before’ picture.
#10. Think pink
From basic brown to funky pink, this RV kitchen renovation is by @burlapandbookpages and reminds us completely of a Barbie playhouse!
#11. Boho beach vibes
This quick before and after of an RV bathroom renovation (@space.by.rachel) shows how quickly a space can go from stock standard to stunning. The design seems to have been inspired by minimalist boho beach vibes, with the wall plant giving it that extra stunning touch.
#12. Jaw-dropping change
The before and after shots of this camper conversion (@paigewright_) actually made my jaw drop. With some of these renovations, I truly believe we should be calling this craft artwork because this is seriously impressive!
#13. Drab to fab
This RV renovation is so inspiring as it shows you don’t need much to start your renovation. Just a foundation for the space, some creativity and motivation. @troopnashville created their dream home on wheels, and it is simply stunning.
#14. Wooden textures
This RV bathroom renovation by @meganleannjones features a rustic shiplap that is to die for. There’s just something so homey about the look of wooden walls. I have to say it’s one of my favourite features to build into an RV renovation. What’s really cool about this one is the RV’s wooden wall is courtesy of fence boards they had lying around. Talk about upcycling!
#15 – Customise
One of the biggest reasons people renovate their RV’s is to customise every nook and cranny to their liking. The fine details in this kitchen makeover by @for_the_love_of_winnie_ has us swooning. I can’t work out whether I love the tile stickers or the wine glass holder more.
So which of these RV renovations is your favourite?
When it comes to picking a favourite, I’ll wave the white flag here and admit it’s far too hard to choose. Whether it’s rustic, boho vibes, bright and white, or the simply comfortable home aesthetic that caught your attention, one thing we can all agree on is that there are some seriously talented people doing RV renovations out there.
