With a number of caravan manufacturers entering administration over the last couple of years, it’s no surprise that buyers are extra wary about laying down a deposit on a new caravan. After all, it’s one of the biggest purchases many RV travellers will ever make. In response, Crusader Caravans has launched its new Deposit Promise, aiming to give buyers a little more peace of mind.
The new initiative protects eligible customers for up to 10% of their total order value if an authorised Crusader dealer is unable to fulfil the original order.
Rather than losing their place in the production queue, Crusader says it will transfer the customer’s order to another authorised dealer. In addition, it will honour up to 10% of the total order value towards the caravan build.
The Deposit Promise applies to eligible factory orders placed from 1 August 2026 through authorised Crusader dealers and also extends to the company’s Dreamhaven Caravans brand.

Crusader Caravans CEO Serge Valentino said the initiative builds on the company’s long-standing focus on customer confidence.
“Built on family values and a passion for making high-quality caravanning accessible to more Australians, we’ve grown over the past 20 years into one of Australia’s leading caravan manufacturers. By navigating changing economic conditions, staying focused on customer needs and building strong supplier partnerships, we’ve consistently delivered high-quality caravans at exceptional value. We’re here for the long haul,” Valentino said.
He said the Deposit Promise is designed to extend that confidence beyond the manufacturing process and into the dealership experience.
“Now, with the Deposit Promise, we’re extending the confidence customers already have in our manufacturing excellence to the dealership experience by stepping in to honour a customer’s dealer-held deposit in the unlikely event that an authorised dealer is unable to do so.”
Valentino said buying a caravan is a significant investment and customers should feel confident from the moment they place their order.
“Reliability and ongoing support are at the heart of Crusader. We’ve proven time and time again that we will go to great lengths to support our customers. I often tell them ‘we’ve got your back,’ and I genuinely mean it. Trust should be earned through actions, not words.”
“The Deposit Promise is simply another way we’re standing behind our customers when it matters most. Buying a caravan is a significant investment, and people deserve confidence from the moment they place their order. Our focus is on ensuring every stage of the ownership journey lives up to the excitement of buying a Crusader.”

How the deposit promise works
According to Crusader, the Deposit Promise applies to:
- New Crusader and Dreamhaven factory orders placed from 1 August 2026.
- Purchases made through authorised Crusader or Dreamhaven dealers.
- Orders registered with Crusader.
- Factory orders only, with existing dealer floor stock excluded.
If an authorised dealer is unable to fulfil an eligible order, Crusader says it will contact affected customers directly, transfer the order to another authorised dealer and honour up to 10% of the total order value towards the caravan build.
Part of the Crusader Circle of Trust
Crusader says the Deposit Promise forms part of its “Crusader Circle of Trust“, a group of initiatives highlighting the company’s industry accreditations, awards and customer support.
Customers considering a new Crusader or Dreamhaven caravan can find the full Deposit Promise terms and conditions on the Crusader Caravans website.
