Whether you’re researching your next caravan, upgrading your touring setup or simply looking for inspiration for your next family camping adventure, the National 4×4 Outdoors Show returns to Melbourne from 21-23 August 2026 with plenty to see beyond the exhibitor halls.

Second-release tickets are now available for $29, saving $5 off the $34 gate price, while children under 16 receive free entry. If you’re planning to attend, now is the time to secure your tickets before the next ticket release and price increase.

Alongside hundreds of exhibitors showcasing caravans, camper trailers, 4WDs, camping gear and touring accessories, this year’s event introduces several new attractions designed to educate, entertain and inspire outdoor enthusiasts of all experience levels.

New features for 2026

One of the biggest additions is MadMates, where MadMatt and Lucas Bree join forces for live recovery demonstrations, including a rollover recovery display that explains what to do if things go wrong off-road. Visitors can also hear behind-the-scenes stories from their latest adventures and ask questions during live Q&A sessions.

Another new addition is the Gear Up & Go Stage, hosted by Girls Day Out 4WD Edition. Rather than focusing on product sales, the sessions are designed to help visitors understand how to choose and use touring equipment, recovery gear, communications and vehicle accessories, making it particularly valuable for those planning their first big trip or upgrading an existing setup.

Content creators are also getting their own spotlight this year with the new Content Creator Showcase, featuring some of Australia’s best-known touring rigs, weekend warriors and custom-built 4WDs. It’s an opportunity to see some impressive vehicle builds up close while gathering ideas for your own setup.

Show off your own touring rig

The popular Show N Shine competition returns in 2026, with organisers introducing a new Show Pony category for vehicles that turn heads with their presentation and attention to detail.

Whether you’ve built the ultimate touring wagon, restored a classic or simply take pride in your 4WD, entry is free and includes two complimentary show tickets, free parking, the chance to win prizes and, of course, some serious bragging rights.

Hear from Australia’s best-known adventurers

If you’re looking for trip inspiration or practical touring advice, the Outback Stage once again features a lineup of Australia’s best-known 4WD personalities, including Pat Callinan, Jase Andrews, Shaun Whale, Jocko McDonald, Jamie Hazelden, Dingo Dave, MadMatt, Lucas Bree and many more.

Expect travel stories, vehicle advice and practical tips drawn from thousands of kilometres exploring Australia’s most remote destinations.

Win an adventure upgrade

Visitors also have the chance to enter the show’s Adventure Upgrade Giveaway, with more than $13,000 worth of prizes from brands including Goodyear, Carbon Offroad, 12 Volt Direct and Kayo up for grabs.
