Narva expands their range of OE style switches and sockets for Toyota and VW Vehicles
Achieving an in-cabin, factory-finish look across a greater range of Toyota and Volkswagen models is now possible, following the range expansion of Narva’s OE-style switches and sockets.
The switches and sockets are designed to fit into a vehicle’s spare switch spaces without needing to cut the dash and their ‘snap-in’ fitment allows easy installation while also providing a professional OE appearance.
To deliver the factory-look, the switches and sockets feature laser-etched L.E.D symbols with backlit blue illumination each aligned to a number of popular accessories including L.E.D Light Bar, Driving Lights, Auxiliary Lights, Roof Lights, Beacon, USB and UHF.
The latest additions include a dedicated 3A and a secondary 2.4 USB port socket, with variants available for Toyota Landcruiser (2008 to current) plus (1998 to 2007); Prado (2010 to 2018) plus (2004 to 2009); Hilux (09/2015 to current) plus (2005 to 2013); FJ Cruiser (2010 to 2013); RAV 4 (2006 to 2011) and Hiace (2005 to 2013).
Unlike most aftermarket USBs, these ports are certified (EMC) and do not interfere with radio frequencies and current circuitry.
Available alongside the USB range is a dedicated UHF RJ45 socket which allows the user to toggle between UHF or range extenders when required. This function is particularly useful for UHFs with channel selection functions on the handpiece, allowing the user to mount the unit completely out of eyesight.
The RJ45 sockets are available to suit the same vehicle categories as described for the USBs as well as for all Prado, Hiace and Rav 4 models from 2019 onwards. For greater convenience, all of the RJ45 sockets include 60cm of cable to suit most installations.
A selection of other switches and sockets has also been developed for Prado, Hiace and Rav 4 models (2019 onwards) and include Universal, USB (single port 3A), L.E.D Light Bar and Driving Lights.
New Volkswagen Amarok switches: The growing popularity of Volkswagen’s Amarok range has also seen Narva expand its product offering for this vehicle (2011 onwards), releasing upgraded switches to suit a new dedicated dash area. The switches include Universal, L.E.D Light Bar, Driving Lights and Beacon, and offer the same easy installation and factory-look benefits as the Toyota-focused products.
All these switches and sockets have an Amp rating of 3A at 12V and benefit from hard plastic construction for excellent durability in demanding Australian applications and conditions. They are also supplied with a wiring loom for hassle-free installation.
Narva’s latest range of OE-style switches and sockets can be purchased from leading automotive, four-wheel drive and transport outlets nationwide.
Existing variants are also available for 30 different vehicle models to suit other popular vehicles from Holden/Isuzu, Mitsubishi and Nissan.
