Head north to participate
The Northern Territory is well known for its fishing, with many keen fishermen heading up there to some of the best spots our country has to offer. This season, which runs until the 31st of March, 2023, there are nine red-tagged Million Dollar Fish. Once one of the nine is caught, the value of the eight that are left changes to $10,000 each. There are also 100 x $10,000 red-tagged barra swimming around the Top End ripe for the catch!
You’ll find them swimming around five incredible fishing regions, including Darwin, Kakadu, Arnhem Land, Katherine and the Tiwi Islands.
Whenever a $10,000 fish is caught, the fisherman can donate an additional $1,000 to an official Million Dollar Fish charity partner. A whopping $10,000 will be given to a charity partner when one lucky person is able to catch a Million Dollar Fish. The charity partners for Season 8 are Shoreline, Cancer Council NT and the Darwin Star Ball, supporting the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
