If you don’t need all the fancy extras in your caravan’s portable aircon and want to keep it under $600, then the Coolzy-Go is a top choice. You simply open the top and it blows. However, it’s important to remember that this unit is as basic as it gets, so you can’t adjust the speed or temperature. It’s designed to cool people, not rooms, so you’ll also need to be sitting in close proximity to it.

Cost: $750
The Coolzy-Pro Portable Aircon is like the cooler older brother of the Coolzy-Go, offering a few more features in your caravan for the $200 price increase, such as three-speed operation and a remote control. With four wheels and handles, it’s also a little more portable than its less fancy sibling. Although it’s still not fancy by a long shot and you still need to be sitting within close proximity, as it’s designed to cool people and not rooms.

The Zero Breeze Mark II claims to be the world’s smallest and most portable aircon (handy for caravans), and while I’m not 100% convinced of the accuracy of this statement, it does offer some more appealing features for the increase in price. Such as lower energy consumption and an optional rechargeable battery that will last for three to five hours off-grid.

Cost: $1,399
The EcoFlow Portable Aircon can cool a small to medium space (like a caravan) by 6oC in 8 minutes and can be controlled by the EcoFlow app. This unit can run on 240V, but if you choose to use it off-grid with the optional add-on battery, you can charge in multiple ways and extend the run time up to eight hours with a time mode that auto alternatives between cooling and fan settings.

Cons
Cost: $1,999
The Eco Wave Portable Aircon 2 is a step up yet again for your caravan, which is reflected in quite a significant jump in price from its sibling. And with good reason, this unit heats as well as cools. The Eco Wave 2 can reportedly drop 10℃ from 30℃ (small to medium room) in 5 min and, when heating, can raise 10℃ from 20℃ in 5 minutes.
