Somebody let the rabbit out of the hat
Images of the 2018 Toyota LandCruiser Prado have leaked online, via Chinese website Autohome.com.cn. It shows an evolution of the same-look Prado Australians have been devouring since the 1990s, which looks to take on some styling cues from its big brother 200 Series LandCruiser.

The headlights are much squarer over the current iteration, and the big ditch down the middle of the bonnet is clearly borrowed from the 200. Driveline changes will likely be minimal, considering the 2.8-litre diesel and six-speed gearboxes (auto and manual) are only quite new, especially by Toyota standards.
The interior of the Prado gets a welcome refresh as well, which will give Toyota the opportunity to introduce some much-needed new tech into the long-lived Prado platform.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The LandCruiser Prado is a hugely dominant seller in Australia, among 4WDers, urbanites, and nomads alike. Against competition such as Ford’s Everest, Jeep’s new Grand Cherokee and the new Discovery, the Prado will have its work cut out to keep up old traditions.
