STORY 1:
Music in the Mulga

Once a year, Wandilla Station, a popular bush camping spot in the red soil Mulga country, hosts the Music in the Mulga festival over the Mother’s Day weekend, where you can sit back and enjoy the great country rock music with your family, in true outback style. Bring mum along and treat her to the Mother’s Day Breakfast on Sunday morning and indulge in the bar and barbecue once the sun goes down. Why not make a holiday out of it and pitch a tent for a few nights (or however long you like, it’s unlimited!) – you’ll have access to toilets, showers, the camp kitchen, laundry and water.

 

STORY 2:
Shark Bay Annual Fishing Fiesta
Denham, WA
May 18-25, 2018

Anglers, this is your chance to show off your fishing skills and engage in a bit of healthy competition. But it’s not all about who catches the biggest fish… Held at the Heritage Hotel on the Denham Foreshore, the Fishing Fiesta is a festival to promote and celebrate the unique Shark Bay area on WA’s Coral Coast. The week-long event includes daily activities, markets, street parades, live music, movie night, craft workshops, fireworks and more. There’ll be competitions for adults and children in a range of categories, from Ladies Heaviest Fish to Best Decorated Boat.

With over 200 exhibits, 4WD displays, camp oven cooking, plus fishing, reptile and bike shows, not even the little ones will get bored!

June 6-11, 2018

If you’re a Queenslander and you’re only going to one caravanning and camping show this year, make it this one. The 50th Annual Queensland Supershow will have over 300 exhibitors on display, so you can see and compare the latest products and services on the market. With a Kids’ Zone, celebrity speakers, exciting product launches and cooking demos, it’s sure to be a fun day out for the whole family, plus there’ll be educational seminars on towing, trip preparation, solar products and more.

Trails, Tastings & Tales Food & Wine Festival
