EVENT 1:
CABOOLTURE, QLD 
Farm Fantastic Expo
March 2-4, 2018

 

This three-day event takes place in Caboolture, an easy day trip from Brissy or the Sunny Coast, and it’ll only cost you $10 to get in (and free for the kids). With major exhibitors like Aussie Tough Trailers and Brisbane Sea-Doo & Can-Am, you’re almost guaranteed to find a product or service you like, whether it’s for a backyard project or a holiday. Learn something new at the Backyard Living Presentations or Daily Cooking Demonstrations while the kids enjoy the free animal farm.

 

EVENT 2:
RANELAGH, TAS
Taste of the Huon
March 11-12, 2018

 

If you’re a Tassie local, you’ll know that Huon, along with its rolling hills and beautiful river, is home to some sensational food and wine – and that’s precisely what the Taste of Huon is all about. Now in its 26th year, this two-day festival is only a pleasant 30-minute drive south of Hobart. Along with great food and wine, there will also be plenty of entertainment and loads of attractions for the kids, like arts and crafts.

Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show
March 21-25, 2018

 

Get inspired by breathtaking floral displays at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, a prestigious yearly celebration of the great outdoors. Anyone with an interest in gardening will relish the opportunity to attend masterclasses, talk to respected landscape designers and industry experts, and peruse a range of stalls selling bulbs, plants, tools, trinkets and garden accessories. CLAREMONT, WA
RAC Perth Caravan and Camping Show
March 21-25, 2018

 

Come down to the Claremont Showgrounds to check out over 400 caravans, 130 camper-trailers and an incredible range of equipment and accessories on display at the RAC Perth Caravan and Camping Show. Watch live demos on vehicle recovery, safe use of snatch straps, reversing tips, and cooking demos for travelling chefs. With minigolf, face painting, mechanical surfboard rides and a jumping pillow, the kids won’t run out of fun stuff to do either. There’ll also be plenty of food, live entertainment and exciting competitions.

KURRI KURRI, NSW
Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival
March 23-25, 2018

 

Re-live the 50s and 60s at the annual Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival, where the town centre is transformed into a Rock N Roll haven. Admire the classic cars and hot rods at the Show and Shine (we bet you could spot a few retro vans), watch or join in as people dance to live music, peruse over 150 retro market stalls, don your best rockabilly clothes and enter the best-dressed competition, or simply soak in the atmosphere of an era bygone. The festival is free to enter, so why not?

 

EVENT 6:
DUNDEE, NT
The Easter Family Fishing Competition
March 30–April 1, 2018

 

Push the chocolate eggs aside and celebrate Easter a little differently this year at the Easter Family Fishing Competition, held annually by the Dundee Social and Recreation Club. Anyone can join, so grab a rod and a bucket and head down to one of the public boat ramps at the Lodge of Dundee. If you catch the heaviest fish, you’ll score a neat prize – there’s plenty of cool stuff up for grabs for adults and children alike.
