Did you know that beside the fuel bowser icon on your dash there’s normally an arrow indicating which side of the vehicle the filler cap is? If there’s no arrow, the side of the bowser the spout is on will normally also indicate the filler cap location. Great information. How many times have you been in a vehicle on your way into a service station and the driver is feverishly checking out the windows to see what side of the bowser to pull up next to? If they knew that info was in front of their eyes, all that stress would disappear and they could get back to deciding whether to get an ice-cream or lollies when they pay for the fuel.
Have you ever been driving down the highway looking for a spot to safely pull off the road but knowing that if you continue to do the speed limit you won’t have time to pull up when you find it? Did you know that a lot of the major highways have a system of green reflectors that give you that information, but no-one told you about it? Next time you’re looking for that spot, keep an eye out for the green reflectors. You will first see three green reflectors on a guide post, a couple of guide posts further on there will be two, then one, and just after that a safe spot to pull your vehicle (and whatever you’re towing) off the road to do what you need to do.
Amazing little helpers and just a couple of the thousands out there that no-one told us about. Keep your eye out for new little helpers to make your life easier. After all, that’s what it’s all about… isn’t it?
