If you’re the proud owner of a PXIII Ranger, Amarok or Pajero, then your ears should be pricked. Why? Because Bendix just expanded their brake upgrade kits.

Bendix has recently extended its range of Ultimate 4WD Brake Upgrade Kits to the following vehicles:

  • PXIII Ford Ranger
  • Volkswagen Amarok
  • Mitsubishi Pajero

The kits include two Ultimate Brake Rotors, a set of Ultimate 4WD Brake Pads, a vehicle set of Ultimate Brake Hoses, a litre of heavy-duty brake fluid, a can of Bendix Cleanup, a tube of Ceramasil Lubricant and Bendix rotor wipes. Additionally, all contents are packaged in a tough 60-litre Bendix Icebox.

For Pajero and PXIII Ranger, front kits are now available. These include options for standard ride height and 2” (50mm) lifted vehicles. The latest additions also cover front and rear kit options for Amarok, with both standard ride height and 2” (50mm) lifted cars being covered.

What’s in the kit?

The Ultimate 4WD Brake Upgrade Kit is built tough enough to withstand Australia’s demanding conditions. It includes the parts you need to upgrade your 4WD to be a touring machine.

Brake Rotors

The Ultimate Disc Brake Rotors that are included in the 4WD Upgrade Kit feature four-wheel-drive specific metallurgy, which increases rotor strength at elevated temperatures and Bendix’s Diamond Tip Slot technology which helps expel gasses, dirt and water more efficiently. High-efficiency cooling pillars are also incorporated in the rotors, which have been designed to channel cool air into the rotor and expel hot air faster, increasing the resistance to thermal cracks. Additionally, the pillars minimise the chance of rotor distortion and deliver an improved braking feel.

Brake Pads

The Ultimate 4WD Disc Brake Pads are engineered for extreme conditions, such as those you’d experience smack bang in the middle of the outback and hardworking 4WD applications. They also feature Bendix’s premium Mechanical Retention System (MRS), which works to provide improved pad attachment strength and a high-tech ceramic formulation that provides low dust and noise. Ticking all the boxes yet?

Brake Hoses

Then we get to Bendix’s Ultimate 4WD Brake Hoses, which feature PTFE (Teflon®) tubing wrapped in woven stainless steel 304 braid. When performing under high pressure, these brake hoses won’t expand, thanks to their rugged construction. So a firm and responsive pedal feel is guaranteed for every adventure.

What kind of 4WDer needs an Ultimate 4WD Brake Upgrade Kit?

If you’re someone who uses their vehicle to carry the additional weight that comes with accessories, you may benefit from the Ultimate 4WD Brake Upgrade Kit. The same naturally goes for the weekend warriors that regularly tow caravans, campervans or trailers off to their getaways. Not to mention, if your 4WD is running larger tyres and you need additional braking force to stop, then the Ultimate 4WD Brake Upgrade Kit could be a great addition to your vehicle.
