The North Queensland Cowboys and Ingenia Holiday Parks are giving footy-loving caravanners another reason to plan a trip north this October, with the inaugural Cowboys Muster Weekend set to take over BIG4 Ingenia Holidays Cairns Coconut.
Scheduled for 16-17 October 2026, the event combines a tropical holiday park stay with exclusive Cowboys experiences, including appearances from current players and club legends Gavin Cooper and Michael Morgan.
The weekend follows the launch of Ingenia Holiday Parks’ partnership with the Cowboys earlier this year and is designed to bring supporters closer to the club in a relaxed holiday setting.
For RV travellers already considering a Cairns getaway, the event offers something a little different. Guests staying at the award-winning holiday park will have access to a welcome BBQ with Cowboys representatives, junior football clinics, a footy-themed trivia night and a range of family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.
Michael Morgan said the event would combine two things many North Queensland families already love – holidays in Cairns and the Cowboys.
“Growing up in Townsville, I have so many happy memories of summer days in Cairns, passing the footy around with my brothers,” Morgan said.
“It feels like a full-circle moment to now be coming back and doing the exact same thing with my wife, kids and our extended family of Cowboys fans.”
The action won’t be limited to the football field. Guests can also take part in a mini-golf challenge, basketball competitions and poolside activities, while younger visitors can enjoy the park’s recently renovated splash park featuring waterslides, a giant tipping bucket and interactive water play areas.
BIG4 Ingenia Holidays Cairns Coconut is already one of the country’s best-known holiday parks, offering a range of caravan and camping sites alongside cabins and extensive resort-style facilities.
To celebrate the launch of the event, Ingenia is offering a limited-time 15 per cent discount on bookings using the code MUSTER. The offer applies to stays between 14 and 21 October 2026, giving travellers the option to turn the event into a longer Far North Queensland holiday.
