It once was home to almost 2,000 residents, but Tarraleah Estate fell into disrepair in the late 80’s and early 90’s. However, the 147-hectare property has a lot to offer potential buyers wanting to transform the lands into a resort destination.

What does Tarraleah Estate include?

The caravan park overlooks the pristine lake, as do a handful of lakeside villas. The lake itself is stocked with brown trout, making it a flyfisher’s dream. Additionally, there is a 1930’s lodge on the main road that features luxury accommodation offering nine suites, plus a dining room, library and fireplace. The old town school has also been renovated and now offers 11 studio rooms with a shared lounge and kitchen. The communal living accommodation is now called The Scholars House.

Tarraleah Estate also boasts two restaurants with whiskey and wine cellars, beer garden and fireplaces. There’s a Great Hall which can host up to 150 guests, and includes three en suite accommodation rooms, an apartment and squash court. You’ll also find a reception building with retail shops, art gallery offices and commercial laundry. Right beside that, another building offers accommodation for potential resort staff, including seven bedrooms and shared lounge.

The property comes fully equipped too, with a functioning town water supply, electricity, telecommunications infrastructure and roads!
