The ACCC – Product Safety Australia, has pinned a notification about NPNH Nominees Pty Ltd t/as Simplicity Axles — Simplicity LSC Axle.
Defect: There is a risk of insufficient weld penetration on the arm of the axle, potentially resulting in a weak and insufficient weld strength.
Hazard: The suspension arm may break, causing the axle to become unstable, and/or a wheel to detach from the axle.
What to do: Consumers should stop using the caravan, trailer, horse float or other vehicle fitted with the axle and contact Simplicity Axles to arrange for an inspection by an authorised repair agent, and if necessary, repair.
