RAM 1500 Warlock added to RAM Trucks Australia line-up priced from $104,450 with 4500kg towing capacity.
Despite denials to RVDaily as late as last week, RAM Trucks Australia today announced it would introduce the new V8 Hemi-powered RAM 1500 Warlock model to its line-up.
The addition of the Warlock means there are now five 1500 models, and this latest variant is said to be aimed squarely at those who want a full-size pick-up truck “with extra menace”.
The Warlock is based on the 1500 Crew Cab and its 5.7-litre V8 Hemi makes a claimed 291kW of power and 556Nm of torque. It has an 820kg payload capacity and 4500kg maximum braked towing capacity, on a 70mm towball, and comes standard with a Trailer Brake Control system.
The Warlock features aggressive exterior styling, leather-trimmed upholstery and a factory one-inch suspension lift. It has a Rebel-look front grille with bulging bonnet, black powder-coated front and rear bumpers and wheel-arch flares, 20-inch semi-gloss black alloys, black-smoked headlamps, accent badging and unique decals. It’s available in Flame Red, Bright White and Patriot Blue, with more colours to be released soon.
The Warlock comes standard with the RamBox Cargo Management System that consists of lockable storage units built into the side rails of the tub with lighting and drainage, and as we know first-hand from Foodie Trails, these are great for storing drinks to cool with ice. Other standard equipment includes dual-zone climate control, 8.4-inch colour touchscreen, satellite navigation and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
“The new Warlock is the start of a product offensive that allows us to broaden our audience appeal and continue to grow the official RAM Trucks Australia brand down under,” Jeff Barber, National Manager, RAM Trucks Australia said.
Priced from $104,450 plus on-road costs, the Warlock is covered by a three year/100,000km warranty with roadside assistance, and service intervals of 12 months or 12,000km. There are now more than 55 Ram Trucks dealers in Australia.
“Our unique position as the only factory-endorsed manufacturer of right-hand-drive RAM Trucks in the world ensures we have direct factory access to new product,” Jeff Barber added. “With the all-new 1500 Limited on the horizon to sit alongside and complement the current model mix, the future is very bright for RAM Trucks Australia. No-one can match our factory-backed, OEM-quality product, value and dealer network.”
RAM Trucks Australia is the world’s only factory-authorised right-hand drive manufacturer of RAM Trucks.
