New Age Caravans joins the motorhome game with the NAM8

Melbourne’s New Age Caravans has officially rolled into the motorhome scene with its first-ever luxury tourer, the NAM8. If you’ve been eyeing an upgrade from towing to a fully self-contained rig, this might be the one to watch.
The NAM8 is a 7.9m-long, Iveco-based motorhome built for couples who like their road trips with a side of comfort. It’s on sale now and can be checked out at eight New Age dealers across Australia.
Known for its caravans over the last 15 years, New Age Caravans was recently acquired by JB Caravans—and the influence is clear. If the design of this New Age motorhome looks familiar, that’s because it shares a lot with the JB Touring motorhome that hit the market in late 2023. Built on the rear-wheel drive Iveco Daily 50 180 cab chassis, the NAM8 packs a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel engine delivering 132kW and 430Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. At 4495kg GVM (upgradeable to 5200kg), it’s car licence-friendly, meaning you won’t need any special upgrades to get behind the wheel.
New Age hasn’t cut corners with this motorhome. It boasts full composite fibreglass panels (roof, walls, and floor) with a smooth, convex roof and fully moulded external storage lockers. Plus, an integrated roll-over protection system adds peace of mind.
The NAM8 is available in three layouts, so you can choose a queen bed or twin singles, depending on your preference. Seating options include:
The interior of the New Age motorhome is designed for comfort on the road, with premium finishes like genuine leather seating, vinyl flooring with sound insulation, and a pillow-top queen mattress. Other highlights include:
This motorhome comes prepped for off-grid adventures, packing a 4kW EcoFlow power system (expandable to 15kW) with 2x lithium batteries, a 3600W inverter, and three solar panels (600W total input). The 200L fresh water tank and 75L grey water tank keep things running smoothly, along with gas instant hot water for a proper shower after a long day.
The NAM8’s kitchen setup includes:
Meanwhile, the 900mm x 750mm shower, modern cassette toilet, and top-load washing machine make sure you’re never roughing it.
For those looking to ditch the tow ball and step into a fully self-contained tourer, New Age’s first-ever motorhome makes a solid debut. With a starting price of $240,000, the NAM8 is built for travellers who value quality, comfort, and a well-thought-out design.
