But what exactly is Trakkit?

Trakkit is a modular kit system that can be mounted in the side or rear of almost any commercial van. Owners have complete freedom as to which set of modules they use as it’s a mix-and-match type affair. And the units can be completely installed and uninstalled by the user.

TRAKKA appreciates that there are so many more uses for a van or vehicle than just doing the big lap. Many of us want the flexibility to work on the road and/or charge appliances on weekend trips. Some of want to access power and water while other just need a refrigerator solution for beach days. Others may want to cook a meal or simply make a proper coffee from the back of their vehicle.

Let’s get modular

Each module focuses on a different aspect of life on the road. The first modules available for purchase are the Power Module, Cooking Module, Water Module, Refrigeration Module and Storage Module. However, this is just the beginning, and we can expect to see a Bedding Module in the near future. How are the Trakkit Modules installed?

Secure the base inside your vehicle using your vehicle’s original tie-down points. This allows for minimal bolting. The modules are then interlocked to the base or one another using a key constructed from super-strong compact laminate. There are no rules for how you configure your modules. You decide what you want and how you want to arrange them. The modules come already assembled and are designed to be installed by the user.

Will a Trakkit Module fit my vehicle?

Currently, Trakkit is sold to fit the Mercedes-Benz eVito, Volkswagen Multivan and Transporter LWB. Options for the VW Crafter and Mercedez-Benz Sprinter will be available shortly. But in general, the system has been created to be adapted to suit nearly any van make and model.
