As a popular touring and towing fourby, this is an important recall for Jeep owners with a KL Cherokee from 2014 – 2018. This recall deals with possible faulty computer software for the Power Control Module (PCM). The result is that in certain circumstances this may affect cruise control and the possible locking of speed or cause acceleration of the vehicle.

If the driver does not shift to neutral or apply the brakes to stop the vehicle this condition can cause a vehicle crash without warning.

Consumers will be contacted by mail advising them to schedule an appointment with their nearest Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealer for repair. The dealer will inspect the software levels of the PCM and Transmission. If necessary they will reprogram the PCM and Transmission Control Module.
