In this episode, our dynamic caravanning trio are on a coastal road trip! They’ve hitched up the vans and are headed to the Far South Coast of NSW. First stop, Bermagui! Here, Emma learns the art of baking bread at a local cooking school, while Chef Macca gets a masterclass in making ricotta at an award-winning local dairy.
Then it’s on to Pambula, where Tim hits the beautiful Pambula Lake in search of some of the finest oysters grown in Australia. Meanwhile, Macca meets up with a chef in a busy kitchen where he is shown a beautiful way to serve locally-caught kingfish. They then make camp at a stunning private property campground with acres all to themselves.
The third and final stop is Eden. This historic fishing village is uniquely positioned at the bottom corner of the East Coast where multiple ocean currents converge. That makes it exceptional growing conditions for mussels, so Chef Macca’s up at the crack of dawn to jump aboard a mussel harvesting boat. Meanwhile, Emma jumps aboard a different boat on a quest to meet some of Eden’s most beloved visitors: humpback whales.
They then finish up with a happy hour party at a beachfront caravan park in the most stunning location. Here, they indulge in a seafood feast as the sun sets on another fabulous Foodie Trail. This is livin’!
