In this episode the Foodie Trails team point the Ram trucks towards the Granite Belt in southern Queensland. This stunning region is known not only for its exceptional natural beauty, but also its fabulous food and wine scene stemming from a strong Italian heritage.

First up, we pass through the bustling town of Warwick and make a bee line for a working family farm whose unique methods result in very happy, healthy animals and even happier customers. And best of all, they allow caravanning and camping on their beautiful property.

Then, it’s on to Stanthorpe, where we set up the vans at a lavender farm. Emma checks out an acclaimed local craft brewery, while Tim dives headfirst into the wonderful world of apples – and a six-kilo pie!

Finally, we head to Ballandean, where local wine growers are known for producing unusual but beautiful varieties they call ‘Strange Birds’. Emma swaps four wheels for two to find out more. Meanwhile, Chef Macca rolls up his sleeves at a local Italian restaurant to make fresh pasta, before whipping up a feast back at camp in time for Happy Hour.
