When Emma finished her journalism studies in 2010, she never expected to kick off her career flicking lures from tinnies or scuba diving remote islands, but that’s exactly where she found herself. Emma had taken a junior position with Bauer Media on a marine magazine, and so began her career in outdoor adventure and lifestyle media.
A year later, Emma swapped her wetsuit for a pair of RM Williams when she was offered the editor’s role on Camper Trailer Australia magazine. In the years that followed Emma had the opportunity to use and review countless camper trailers and caravans, all the while exploring far-flung destinations across Australia in pursuit of inspiring content.
In 2015, Emma shifted gear and took up a role travelling and writing content full time in Regional NSW. With her camera and Border Collie packed into her beloved old campervan, Emma’s mission was simple: find the best travel and food experiences country NSW has to offer. If you’re trying to find a doughnut that weighs a kilo, a pub that dry ages their own locally grown beef or the best cherry pie west of the Divide, Emma can help.
Turning her attention now to Foodie Trails, Emma combines her love for self-sufficient travel, unique food experiences and authentic characters with her passion for inspiring and informative content.
